| Tuesday evening at the Place de la
Comédie in Montpellier (all shots taken with flash
         off!):

      | Image 1 of 8, all of which will become a
QuickTime VR panorama after I get back home and install the
         software. | Image 2 of 8. Damn, I should've installed that
QTVR panorama software before I left. | Image 3 of 8...

         (1/20s to 1/6s at f2, 200ISO.) | Image 4 of 8... |

      | Image 5 of 8... | Image 6 of 8... | Image 7 of 8... | Image 8 of 8... |

      | Another shot looking down the plaza | Close-up of the Opéra Municipal which
Scott took. | Another shot of the Opéra. | [I didn't think to try the built-in panorama
mode, and didn't have the "Olympus-brand" memory card in the
camera at the time (which is required to use the built-in
panorama mode). Oh well... Panorama mode locks the shutter
speed to the first picture and that might not have worked so
well in this scene anyway. It's a new camera and I'm still
learning how to use it...] |
All images and movies were captured (at HQ resolution: 1600x1200,
medium quality) with my new
Olympus
C&endash;2020 Zoom digital camera, and transferred to the
PowerBook using the
MicroTech
Digital FlashFilm PC-Card reader for SmartMedia cards where I
reduced them to 800x600 and 160x120.
